Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PS5 brings both Spider-Men together in one story. Peter Parker and Miles Morales share the city and the workload until Kraven the Hunter arrives to hunt New York’s villains and heroes, and an alien symbiote gives Peter a new suit that changes him in ways he does not notice at first.
About the game
You can switch between Peter and Miles almost any time in the open world, and each has his own missions and abilities. Miles keeps his venom powers and camouflage, while Peter gains mechanical spider arms and, later, the aggressive symbiote abilities that make combat faster and more brutal. New York is roughly twice the size of the first game, adding Queens and Brooklyn, and wing suits combined with wind tunnels let you glide across the rivers in seconds. Combat adds a parry for unblockable attacks and more gadgets, and stealth gets web lines you can string between buildings. The story is darker than before, exploring how the symbiote changes Peter and building to a confrontation with Venom. On PS5 the game loads in seconds, offers 60 fps and ray-traced modes and uses the DualSense controller for swinging and hits.
