Dimensions collapse into each other when a device called the Dimensionator breaks, and the story bounces between Ratchet, Clank and Rivet, a new Lombax hero from a parallel universe.
About the game
The signature trick is rift travel. Portals open in the middle of levels and pull you into entirely different places with no loading, and some planets have pockets you can flip between with a single button, changing the layout around you. Combat is built around a big, silly arsenal: shotguns that fire buzzsaws, a sprinkler that turns enemies into topiary, a glove that releases an army of tiny robots and many more, each of which levels up with use.
