Description
The Last of Us Remastered on PS5 is the PS4 remaster of the original game running on PlayStation 5. It is the most affordable way to play Joel and Ellie’s story on the newer console, and the extra power delivers a locked 60 frames per second and loading times far shorter than the PS4 could manage.
About the game
Set twenty years after a fungal outbreak destroyed civilisation, the story follows Joel, a smuggler hired to take a teenage girl named Ellie out of a quarantine zone and across the country. The journey passes through overgrown cities, abandoned towns and snowy forests, and the growing bond between the two characters carries the game. Gameplay combines stealth, scavenging and tense combat, with scarce ammunition and crafting from scraps forcing careful decisions in every encounter. Infected track you by sound, and human enemies coordinate their search. The remaster includes the Left Behind chapter that tells Ellie’s story before she met Joel, a photo mode and commentary on cutscenes from the director and cast. On PS5 the game holds 60 fps in its performance setting, loads quickly and supports the DualSense controller through standard vibration.
