About the game
Sir Daniel Fortesque was celebrated as the hero who died stopping the sorcerer Zarok, but the truth is that he fell to the first arrow of the battle. A century later Zarok returns, raises the dead, and accidentally brings Dan back too, giving him a second chance to become the hero everyone thinks he was. The game is a third-person action adventure with a gothic cartoon style. You explore the kingdom of Gallowmere level by level, fighting zombies, scarecrows and dragons with swords, clubs, crossbows and even your own detached arm. Each level hides a chalice that fills as you defeat enemies and unlocks the Hall of Heroes, where legendary warriors hand out new weapons. Light puzzles, secret areas and a soundtrack re-recorded for the remake round out a charming, slightly spooky package.
