Description
Days Gone Remastered is the PS5 edition of the open-world survival game set in Oregon after an outbreak turned most people into feral Freakers. The story, the world and the motorcycle-based gameplay are the same as the original, but everything runs smoother and there are new ways to play once the main story is done.
About the game
You play Deacon St. John, a drifter who crosses the region on his bike, doing jobs for survivor camps while searching for his missing wife. Fuel, weather and daylight all shape how you travel, and huge hordes of Freakers force you to prepare before every big fight. On PS5 the game loads in seconds, holds a steady frame rate and shows far more detail in forests and snow. The DualSense controller lets you feel the engine through vibration and gives the weapons resistance in the triggers. The remaster also adds Horde Assault, an arcade-style mode where waves of enemies keep growing, along with a Permadeath option and a speedrun mode for players who want a fresh challenge.
Key features
- Higher resolution, more stable frame rate and much faster loading on PS5.
- DualSense vibration and adaptive triggers for the bike and every weapon.
- Horde Assault mode with escalating waves and unlockable characters.
- Permadeath and speedrun modes for repeat playthroughs.
- Expanded accessibility options, including new control and visual settings.
Who is it for
This edition is ideal for newcomers who want the best-looking version of Days Gone, for players who finished it on PS4 and want a reason to return, and for anyone who enjoys open-world survival with a strong single-player story. The new modes also suit people who like short, intense sessions rather than long story chapters.
