Until Dawn on PS5 is a complete remake of the interactive horror adventure. The story, the characters and the branching choices are the same as the original, but the game has been rebuilt from scratch with modern visuals, a new camera system and extra scenes that expand the night.
About the game
A year after two sisters vanished during a winter party, eight friends return to the same isolated lodge on Blackwood Mountain. What begins as an awkward reunion turns into a night of terror, and you control each character in turn, making choices that ripple forward through the butterfly effect system. A missed quick-time event, a wrong turn or a careless line of dialogue can get a character killed, and the game keeps going without them, so every playthrough ends differently. The remake replaces the fixed camera angles with a third-person camera you control, adds new areas and totems, reworks some scenes to give characters more depth and updates the soundtrack. On PS5 the visuals feature far more detailed characters and lighting, loading is fast and the DualSense controller adds tension to keep-still moments.
